´SGOOD TO BE BACK...

He conseguido un equipo "nuevo" prestado, no es muy rápido, pero valdrá hasta que tenga mi equipo normal o me compre uno nuevo, así que en breve estaré con vosotros al 100%, os veo pronto!

I have get a "new"  equipment, it is not fast, but will do, till I get my old one or buy a new one, so I will be at 100% as soon as I can, see you all soon!

GRRRRRRRR... AND BEYOND!

Bueno, como ya iba anunciando días atrás, mi ordenador portátil tenía un grave problema y parece ser, que es de la tarjeta gráfica, lo que según me han dicho es bastante malo, así que antes de declararlo muerto, lo he llevado a otro sitio para una segunda opinión, a ver que me dicen. Hasta ahora disponía de un ordenador prestado, pero, no se puede abusar, y ya no dispongo de este ordenador :-(. De modo que, por unos días, tendré que dejar un poco parada la web, hasta futuras noticias o que me compre un nuevo equipo, se aceptan sugerencias…, así que no os preocupéis! volveré lo antes posible! Palabrita de Boy Scout!

Well, I told days ago that I had been suffering problems with my laptop, which seems to have problems with the graphic device, so, I have send my laptop to another place for a second opinion, and till that, I have to be patient. Anyway I was using my bro laptop, but he need it too, so I am in possesion of no computer equipment at all, :-( So, till I have my old laptop back or buy a new one I will  be out for a while, but I will be back as soon as possible! Scout´s word!

IT HAPPENED ONE DAY: THE GIFT

Ya que este miércoles hablamos de John Cassaday, la recomendación para esta semana es Astonishing X-men: the Gift!, el primero de los grandes tomos que, junto a Josh Whedom, trajeron algo de gloría a los mutantes, que hacía tiempo estaban algo atascados. Ya hemos hablado sobre el dibujo y a Josh Whedom, ya lo conocéis, pero en serio, obviando la película de X-men 3 (un quiero y no puedo de esta saga), esta historia mola mucho por varios motivos:
- La historia de amor de Kitty y Peter.
- Personajes comoBlindfold, Armor o Wing.
- Grandes momentos absurdos tipo Buffy, como cuando el villano se cuela en la mansión para atacar y discute con dos estudiantes que le dicen que los X-men no están, que han salido.
- Los comentarios de Nick Fury y más, muchos mas!
Astonishing X-men Volumen 1, si no lo habéis leído aun, si os gusto Buffy, si os gustan los X-men, e incluso si no os gusta nada de lo anterior! Tenéis que leer este comic!

Now, that last wednesday I was talking about John Cassaday, todays recommendation is Astonishing X-men: the Gift!, the first of the great hardcover, written by Josh Whedom, which brought glory to the all old all as ever mutants, that really need a reboot. We have already talk about the pencils, and about Whedom, well you all know him, but seriously, forgetting X-men 3 movie (a wannabe...) this story arc really rocks! and this is why:
- Peter and kitty love story.
- Characters as Blindfold, Armor o Wing.
- Great absrud moments Buffy style! like ord trying to attack the X-men at the mansion while some students tell him they are off to a mission.
- An the great commentaries from Nick Fury!. and so many more!!
Astonishing X-men Vol.1, if you have not read it still, and you enjoyed Buffy, if you like X-men, or even if you do not like any of this things, you have to read this comic book!

3, 2, 1... GUEST STARRING!: John Cassaday

Hoy en Guest Starring, el autor que debía quedarse donde estaba y seguir dibujando Astonishing X-men, ¿por qué? porque es bueno, porque dibuja bien y porque su estilo esta dotado de una humanidad que no consigue su actual sustituto. Prueba de ello son las expresiones, Jhon Cassaday consigue hacer expresivo hasta viñetas que no tienen dialogo, cargándolas del sentimiento correcto en cada viñeta, ya sean escenas de humor, amor, lucha o drama.
Conocido en sus páginas de Planetary, yo descubrí a Cassaday en las páginas de Astonishing X-men, páginas que unidas a Josh Whedom, me hicieron recuperar la fé en los mutantes, después de tanto traspiés argumentativo y dibujistico. Para prueba de lo que digo, en lugar de la clásica portada o ilustración, os dejo esta vez con una página que muestra el reencuentro entre Kitty (que volverá pronto) y Peter (alias coloso, recién resucitado), la verdad es que siendo Whedom, esta página bien podían haber sido ocupada por SarahMichelle Gellar y David Boreanaz, porque es muy Buffy, pero que dio un sentido muy dramático y correcto, en los lápices de Cassaday a uno de los que yo considero grandes momentos del cómic, que he leído en los últimos años, ASÍ SE RESUCITA!

Today in Guest Starring, the artist who never should have left the pages of Astonishing X-men, Why? because he was good, he was really good and because his style had a real humanity in the expressions that the actual artist can not. Jhon Cassaday is able to get the right sensibility in each pannel, it does not matter if there is a humor situation, love, fight or even a drama.

Well knowed for his pages in Planetary, I discover Cassaday in Astonishing X-men´s pages, joined with Josh Whedom, they gave me my faith in mutants collections back, forgetting all this painfull bad stories and bad penciles. To illustrate what I am talking about, today I am not going to use a cover or a pin-up, today I am going to use a page, a single page which show us the reunion of kitty Pride  (she will be back soon) and Peter  (a.k.a. colossus , a.k.a recently resurrected), and to be honest talking about Whedom, we can put Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz on this page, because it is clearly a Buffy situation. one of, in my opinnion, great moments of the comic book story in years, THAT IS A RESURRECTION!
