ANIMATION LOGBOOK (06): SOME TEASER POSTER

Reconozco que esto ha estado un poco parado, pero es solo fruto del descontrol que tengo últimamente en cuanto a organización, y no solo en tema de dibujo.

No obstante, aunque parezca que no, he estado trabajando mucho y largo, en diferentes facetas del proceso creativo, así que por hoy para empezar la semana de posts, quiero enseñaros este teaser poster del proyecto que desvelare muy pronto. Para ello, he creado un sistema de "letras fuentes" para este proyecto, y de paso aprendido algunas tecnicas nuevas de color, para darle un toque mas serio, que en trabajos anteriores. ¿qué significa? todo sera revelado a su debido momento, pero como pista, diré que el mensaje dice una fecha y un nombre. Y eso sí, prometo más dinamismo a partir de ahora, hasta que nos leamos de nuevo!

I know that it has been a little bit slow lately, but it is because of the mess of situation I had been lately, and not just in drawing stuff.
Anyway, even if it seems that I am drawing nothing, I am working a lot in several chapters of the creative process, but for now I want to show you this teaser poster about what coming next, that will be announced sooner than you think. I have develop a new fonts just for the project, and learn some new colour techniques to give it a more serious look than with the previous work, , what do it means? all will be revealed soon, but let me say as a clue, that it is a date and a name. But I can promise, that from now on, there will be more post, so, till we read again!

ANIMATION LOGBOOK (05): CHARACTER DESIGN

Lo bonito de hacer animación, como ya he dicho anteriormente, es el trabajo que hay previo al montaje, es decir, que primero hay que diseñar a los personajes y el entorno donde van a moverse, así que, como he visto que estoy un poco muy desorganizado, me he hecho un horario semanal para ir haciéndolo todo poquito a poco, pero en una progresión ordenada. Asi cada día, me dedicare a un aspecto diferente del proceso de diseño.

En este caso, toca una pequeña pincelada del primer proyecto de animación en el que estoy trabajando, y que si alguno esperaba que iban a ser osos en flash… estabais muy equivocados,… porque de hecho lo que está por venir es mil veces mejor! jeje.

Esta semana en el cuaderno de rodaje, os dejo un diseño conceptual de los “robots limpiadores”, la idea para estos, era que tuviesen una pinta un poco enclenque y fría al mismo tiempo, algo así como marionetas, de hecho cuando los robots se mueven, sus brazos y cabeza, irán caídos como si fuese un muñeco de trapo, hasta que tengan que moverse claro. Si os lo estáis preguntando, no tendrá piernas, la idea es que sean como serpientes mecánicas de cintura hacia abajo, ya que son “mangueras”, es decir, son robots limpiadores que expulsan chorros de agua por sus manos a modo de mangueras, suena raro, pero lo entenderéis más adelante, en fin, esto es todo por ahora, sin prisa pero sin pausa! Hasta que nos leamos de nuevo en el próximo  cuaderno de rodaje!

The beauty of making animation is, like I sayd before, the previoous work before the production itself, I mean, you have to design all the characters and environment, but, I have been noticed that I have a mess of organitation, so I have develop a timetable to make an organized linework, each day i am going to work in a different aspect of the design process.

This time, a sneak preview of my first animation movie projects, which name will be revealed soon, and have to say, if any was waiting for bears animated with flash... sorry guys, you are wrong... but will be waaay better! hehe.

This week in "Animation Logbook" I want to present the concept desing for the "Cleaners Robots". The idea for this one was a puppet look, weak and cold, in fact the robots are gonna look like if their arms and head is dead while they move, till the moment they need to use them of course. And if any of you is wondering why they dont have legs, the idea for them is that they are like hoses, cleaners able to throw water and clean what it is needed, sounds weird, but you will undertand it later, so, this is all for now, dont stop! Este fin de semana he estado en el Orgullo Gay de Madrid, la cosa ha sido divertida, como siempre, mucha música, mucho personajismo, mucho disfraz que haría la envidia de cualquier Salón del Cómic, otros que no tanto; mucha gente, mucha música, mil cerveza y por supuesto mucha diversión.

This week I was at Madrid Gay Pride, and the thing was nice, as ever lot of music, lots of freaks, costumes which could make the cut for any comic con, some would not... a lots of people, a thousand beers and of course, lots of fun!

Por supuesto, y mas importante que el Orgullo en si, es que no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de ir de ruta friki, y estas han sido mis adquisiciones!

Walking Dead, Tomos 3 y 4, centrados en la trama de la estancia en la prisión, si no la habéis leído, esta colección es muy recomendable y en octubre empieza su versión televisiva! // Where we can read the arc "Safe behind the bars", if you never read this comic book, I really recommend it! and soon his Tv-Show version in october!
