3, 2, 1... GUEST STARRING! PASCUAL FERRY

Esta semana lo tenía complicado para comentar hacer de un nuevo artista, un amigo me sugirió el de esta semana, y la verdad me gusta mucho la idea, porque hace tiempo que no hablábamos de artistas españoles.

Esta semana, un artista del que debo decir que se bastante poco a pesar de haber seguido sus trabajos en los últimos años para Ender y Ultimate Fantastic Four. Pero sabiendo que va a coger los mandos de "THOR", y viendo esta imagen, creo que ya se merecía de sobre entrar en la sección "Guest starring!". A mi su estilo me parece particularmente muy europeo, no se describirlo de otro modo, es como esos librotes que la gente no suele leer, que vienen en tapa dura, y que no salen superhéroes en ellos, pero que TODOS deberían leer porque se descubren cosas interesantísimas. Me recuerda a los comics que leía cuando era niño, no a los de superhéroes, a los que contaban historias de libros, o historias tipo conan, no se, me da algo de nostalgia, y hace que me gusten :-), a veces no es tan fácil decir porque algo te gusta, pero te gusta. Esta semana, un artista conocido por ser un gran artista profesor y mejor persona, esta semana PASCUAL FERRY!

This week I had doubts about which do I had to talk about, but a friend of mine give me the solution, and to be honest, it has been a while since I talk about a spanish artist.     

This week, and artist which i have to say, I dont know too much, but I have been enjoying his work for Ender and Ultimate Fantastic Four, the last years. But now that I knew that he was going to take the pencils of "THOR", and watching this illustration, I really think that he deserve a place in "Guest Starring!". His style, reminds a lot to the european comic style, I dont know how to describe exactly, is like this big comicbooks with the hardcovers, whithout superheroes, which people use to avoid, but that you ALL shoudl read, because there are a lot to learn from them. It really reminds me the old comics I used to read when I was a kid,  the one with novel graphic stories or conan, dont know, it makes me like it a lot :-), sometimes is not easy to say why something likes you, but it does. This weel a well knowed artist byt his pencils, his covers, because he is a good teacher and better person, this week PASCUAL FERRY!

IT HAPPENED ONE DAY: ORIGIN!

Tyger! Tyger! Burning bright, in the forests of the night…

Como dijeron en su momento en 2001, en Marvel: "si no lo hacíamos nosotros, lo hubiesen hecho en la película". ¡Y gracias a Dios, porque esto SI es un origen!. Olvidad toda esa basura que hay ahora de origins series donde, oh, no te lo dijimos, Jean Grey de joven un día se unto pan mentalmente… y Cíclope llevaba gafas mas grandes… basura… esto si fue un origen hecho como dios manda. El Origen de Lobezno. El origen de James Howlett!.

Usando el estilo sin tinta, que personalmente me gusta bastante, con lápices de Andy Kubert,  Y escrita por Bill Jemas, Joe Quesada y Paul Jenkins. Nos mostraban el tan esperado origen del personaje que esta en todas partes, y del que sabíamos mucho y poco al mismo tiempo, Lobezno, Logan, Solo, ArmaX,  El heroe bajo la máscara, desde sus inicios a finales del siglo XIX, en Alberta, Canadá. Y como esta es una historia de “no cuentes nada”, solo diré que no esperéis una cutre historia con prótesis metálicas, balazos y pistolas a lo John Woo…esto es mejor, mucho mejor, de hecho pienso que la película debería haber sido así, y me hubiese gustado igualmente. Esta semana os dejo esta miniserie como recomendación y os dejo descubrir el autentico ORIGEN DE LOBEZNO!

Like they say back in 2001, if we would not do that, they would show it in the movies. And thanks Lord! because, this IS an origin. Forget all that new origin series crap, where, oh, didn´t tell you? one day Jean Grey spread butter with his mind!... and oh! did you know that Cyclops used to wear bigger glasses?... so... this was a real smart origin. The Origin of Wolverine, The Origin of James Howlett!

Using the No-inks techniques, which I really like, written by  Bill Jemas, Joe Quesada and Paul Jenkins, and illustrated by Andy Kubert. They showed us the origin we all wanted to know, the character who is everywhere and about who we knowed a lot and nothing at the same time, Wolverine, Logan, Solo, WeaponX, The hero under the mask. since his start in a lately XIX century, in Alberta, Canada. But, this is a "dont say a word" tale, so I just gonna say that dont expect a story with metal artifial bodyparts, guns and bullets and explosions John Woo style,... this is something better, way better, in fact I think that if the movie would have been like this, it would have make me enjoy the same way it did. This week, this is my recommendation, I invite you to discover the real ORIGIN OF WOLVERINE!

Esta página fue amor a primera vista, siempre he pensado que bucky era un personaje perdedor, vale, ahora con lo de winter soldier mola, y todo eso, pero me parecía un manta... hasta que vi esta página. Nuestro artista invitado de hoy, es actualmente conocido por ser el dibujante de Capitán América, aunque los seguidores fieles han estado disfrutando sus lápices desde Batman, Authority, X-MEN Deadly génesis o en páginas de Daredevil. Con un estilo Sucio, frio, oscuro, sus páginas dotan de un realismo destacable, algunos dicen que con demasiadas sombras, pero yo creo que dan un dramatismo a las viñetas que dan mas seriedad a su estilo. Esta semana, un artista que estoy empezando a disfrutar, para aquellos que quieran empezar a conocerle, les recomiendo encarecidamente "Capitán América: El Soldado de Invierno", esta semana, en guest starring, ED BRUBAKER!

This page was first sight love for me!, I always thought hat bucky was a loser. Ok, now he is cool because of the winter soldier thing or so, but, he looks like a moron for me...till I watch this page. Our guest starring today, is actually the Captain america artist, but maybe his followers had been enjoying his pencils till Batman, The Authority, X-men Deadly Genesis and even in Daredevil pages. With a dirty, cold and darl style, his pages give a perfect enviroment for his stories, which make more serious style for his art. This week, my recomendation is an artist I am starting to discover, and for those who want to start to enjoy his pencils, I recommend "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". This week, in guest starring, ED BRUBAKER.
