EVERY DARK LEGEND..., HAS A REAL BEGIN.

Years ago, I had an Idea for a new Comic book Project, his name was “SINNERS”, halfway between CSI and CONSTANTINE World, where the “SINNERS”, was a team of investigators of paranormal activities, like private investogators. The Team was formed by Elliot Decklan and Moebious Niel Collins (who was a magical tattoo, gift of a powerfull spiritual entity called the “Ondina Carissia”), they were the only survivors of the original team; Patricia Granados, special agent from the “European Civil Guard”, Roberto de la Cruz and specialist in history and arcan science and the young Roberto "Carsons" Carzonne, which posses the paroptic vision hability, this is the hability of see things that normal people can´t, like footprints, flashbacks, flash forwards or seeing Ander the “masks”.

But even with all the ideas, I never develop more than The plot of the first store called “THE HUNT FOR EL DINGO”, where they invetigate a misterious criatura who kidnapp babys from their houses, like the Boogie man. But as a goodwill, I Hill show you the Teaset “trailer”, a bit rouge and not ended, but close to the idea I had in Mind.

Remember, EVERY DARK LEGEND HAS A REAL BEGIN....

3, 2, 1... GUEST STARRING!: CARLOS PACHECO

Si!

Yes Man! Guest Starring Day!, Today: Carlos Pacheco!

If not my fauvorite, One of the TOP3, I think there is no draw of Carlos Pacheco I have no check with surgery vision, since the first sketchs for FORUM, as his Works for IMAGE, TOP COW, LABERINTO, and of course CLIFFHANGER, MARVEL y DC. I can even say if a draw is one of his even in the distance, really, I saw them in the Solicitation lists, little versions, and I know which one is his. Maybe because of his characteristics, the positions and of course, the hands, this hands have so much expresión… sometimes even dificult, but this are the skills which makes an artist great.

Someone wrote once, that if a Comic book drawed by Pacheco, would have no letters, it will be understandind perfectly, because the panels will tell the store themlf. They transmitt, move, feel, fight, and what a fight! Hehe, but what I really like of Pacheco´s art is that he, is the artist of the “Alternative Realities”, so do I. Hi work are "What ifs?" with style. Amazing his work in "AVENGERS FOREVER", or the alternative versions of the “FANTASTIC FOUR”, the alternative reality from “ARROWSMITH” a twisted World War I and the astonishing trave thought multiverse in “ABSOLUTE POWER", were BATMAN y SUPERMAN, have to try harder with adult versions of Lighting Lord and company.

There are too many thing I really appretiate from this artis, his likes for details, and the use of “history” to make good stories for the characters (Something not always well used by the companies), his stories, the scripts… he is an artist who care about his work, that makes great his illustrations.

As an example, this week, I have choose, an "AVENGERS FOREVER"
cover. I really like the classic look of this cover. Rick Jones, summon with his powers a team of heroes, from differents realities: HAWKEYE, SONGBIRD, GOLIAT, THE WASP, YELLOW JACKET & the CAPTAIN AMERICA. In this cover, they appears on the sands of time (a good synonym of the sands of time), but check the positions, the faces, hands, they have so much strong. I remember that I get this comic as soon as I saw this on the Comic Books store. The first one I had in english, and the store is soooooooo good.
As a curiosity, Carlos Pacheco told once, that draw this team was difficult, when people ask him why?, he answer: “Because… they are all blond american guays Ander the mask..!”

3, 2, 1... GUEST STARRING!: ALEX ROSS

Disfrutadla!

Ok, Like I sayd last week, today is “GUEST STARRING” day, this week, it is one of the people which I love/hate more: Alex Ross.

If Adam Hughes, was the “superhots” artist, Alex Ross is the Artist of the “Real”. If you ever want to know how a Superhero World looks like in the real World, just check his work. Well knowed for his awesome cobres for "DC" in "BATMAN" (I always thought the Alex Ross´s "BATMAN" is Michael Keaton), "SUPERMAN", "KINGDOM COME" or "JUSTICE"; and "MARVEL", with his amazing "MARVELS" or "EARTH-X", as thousand of cobres for several projects, like "ASTRO CITY".

For me, I aprettiate his likes for nature itself, he likes to show his characters with the “real” age they should have, which makes them incredible human and exprssive. Ande ven when everyone know that he use models and photos for his work, we all know too that one is do that… and other thing is to get his final results. The Shadows, The positions, the realism, the spectacularity… It makes that every illustration, become a real Art where you can enjoy the essence of a hero, what represents for him, like a modern mithology.

This week, I will use my fauvorite “Astro City” cover. On this, two hands from two superhéroes (I think, in love), approaching, to show the exact moment, when they are about to touch each other, this is the majestuosity I was talking about, the drama, the love, the strong of this image, the beauty of the figures. This is, by far, one of the best cobres I have ever seen, and, I think, The best example of the art of Alex Ross… Enjoy it!.
