SOME OLD, SOME TOUCH... SOME NEW!: BIFROST

Esta semana, experimentos con el boceto inicial de Bhor, el Thor regordete que diseñé para hacer mi tatuaje, con la apariencia del Ultimate Thor, con algunos pequeños cambios. Y hoy, con un ligero toque Warhol, que lo disfruteis!

This week, some experimetns with the sketch of Bhor, the tubby Thor I designed for my tattoo, with the Ultimate Thor look, adding some touches. And today, with some little chages, with a Warhol touch! enjoy!

ANIMATION LOGBOOK (12): MORITURI TE SALUTANT

Esta semana, unos bocetos de la zona de la arena, el primero, es un boceto de la arena con la ciudadela al fondo, en la zona superior del dibujo. Los otros dos, son diferentes perspectivas que usare en diferentes momentos del corto. Como todos habéis visto ya, tiene una apariencia de coliseo romano. Mi idea, es que la zona aparezca en parte en ruinas, con algunas modificaciones tecnológicas para lo que va a pasar allí. También quería darle una impresión de que la tecnología del Sr. Farland, ha “violado” la arquitectura antigua, y la ha convertido en una pieza más de su tecnología, de ahí los diferentes tubos, tuberías, cableado y demás resortes metálicos que aparecerán en esta particular arena, que una vez a color, contrastaran sus tonos fríos con los calidos de la roca y la arena. La próxima semana, descubriréis al fin, el nombre del proyecto, que si todo va según lo previsto debería poder “estrenar” en Navidades!, así que por ahora, hasta la semana que viene, sed buenos y buen fin de semana a tod@s!

This week, some environment sketches of the arena. The first one is a sketch for the one you saw a few weeks ago, with the citadel at the top of the ilustation. The other two are different perspectives for teh arena, which I am gonna be using in different parts of the movie. As you all have noticed it have the look of an ancient colliseum. Mi idea for this one was give a sense of “raped”, the technology from Mr. Farland has “rape” the ancient colliseum (not the roman one) and have turned into a mechanical thing, as you can see there are a lot of cables, tubes, pipes and some techobjetcs you are gonna see whe the thing gets started. As soon as it will be coloured, you will be seeing that the cold colours will collided with the warm from the stones and sand from the arena. And! Next week you will discover which is the name is this particular project, that If all go as I have planned, should be presented on christmas eve! 3, 2, 1... Guest Starring!: Echo Chernik

Hace ya tiempo, que no tenemos a un artista invitado, y se me ha ocurrido, que mejor para retomar esta sección, que hacer algo original e invitar a una artista esta vez, quiero presentaros el arte de Echo Chernik, cuyo arte podéis conocer mejor en la sección "cool artist" de mi blog.
Un estilo de dibujo hiperrealista, un poco de art nouveau y una composición que haría las envidias de cualquier vidriera de catedral, son las características más destacadas de esta gran artista que he tenido el gusto de descubrí hace poco en facebook.
Lo que más me sorprende es que cuando descubrí su trabajo, pensé que usaría algún tipo de acrílico o acuarela, pero estás magnificas ilustraciones las hace como suele decirse con sus manitas, photoshop e ilustrator, lo cual me hace tenerle cierta envidia, pero como todos sabemos, cada cual tiene su kung fu, jeje, aunque no deja de impresionarme con cada nuevo trabajo, para muestra esta semana, os dejo con esta tentativa ilustración de Echo Chernik, ¿Quieres una manzana?

It has been a while since the last guest starring, and I thought to restart the section with something original, so, for this ocassion I have a perfect match, featuring a woman artist, the amazing work of Echo Chernik which  work coulb be find in my "cool artist" section. With a realistic style, nice colours , some art nouveau influences and a composition style which makes the biggest cathedral be jealous (because it looks like cathedral windows) are in my opinnion the better points from this artist work, who I have the pleassure to discover in Facebook.

The most impresive part comes when I though she was using some kind of acrilics or so for her work, but no, she does it with his own hands some pohotshop and ilustrator, which makes me feel jealous too, but you all know each one has his own "kung fu" style, hehe. Anyway, I just cant stop to be amazed by each new artwork she ilustrate, an as a proof this week, I want to show you a very tentative illustration from Echo Chernik, Do You want an apple?

Esta semana en, otro experimento con antiguos bocetos. Para esta ocasión he usado uno de los bocetos preparatorios para "Celebrate the 10000", para esta "Vigilante de Medianoche"!

This week, another experiment with old sketches. This time, I have used the "Celebrate the 10000" unused sketch, turning it into the "Midnight Watcher"!

IT HAPPENED ONE DAY: THE NEW AVENGERS

¿Por qué? Por las historias, por haber sobrevivido a Osborn y al reinado oscuro, por los guiones, por la complicidad digna de los mejores momentos de "Buffy", por la interacción de personajes, por las escenas cómicas, por los comentarios ingeniosos, porque el dibujo de Stuart Immonen es muy bueno, por el guión de  Brian Michael Bendis, porque saben tratar a los personajes, porque cada número es un espectáculo! Por las escenas matrimoniales! Por Jessica, Luke, Peter, Logan, Danny, Ben, Clint y Bobby, por Carol, incluso por Victoria Hand, por todo ello, esta semana recomiendo "THE NEW AVENGERS", como prueba un momentazo de Victoria Hand!

Why? because the story is good, because they survive Osborn and the Dark Reign, because of the script, because the nice moments worth "buffy" ones, because the interaction between characters, because the comedy, because the funny jokes, because the Stuart Immonen pencils are way good, because Brian Michael Bendis, because they know how to threat with the characters, because each issue is an spectacle! because of the married moments! because of Jessica, Luke and the Baby, Peter, Logan Danny and Ben, Clint and Bobby, Carol and even Victoria Hand, because all of them, this week I recommend "THE NEW AVENGERS", as a proff I cool "Victoria Hand" moment.
