Hoy en Flashes Before Your Eyes: “Cuadernos de Rodaje” Quiero mostraros otro diseño conceptual de escenario, LA SALA!

Para este, quería mostrar una enorme sala, repleta de la más moderna tecnología, a la par que darle un cierto toque de elegancia y diseño, algo así entre renacimiento y tecnología en la misma sala. Para ello además de luz que entra por los grandes ventanales y la cúpula con una abertura en el centro, lo que más me gusta de este diseño son los “arboles de pantallas”. Me pareció un toque muy elegante que parecieran arboles, con todos los cables de las pantallas y la ciudadela, enredados como grandes raíces, a la vez que muestran pantallas a casi todos los ángulos, para que nadie se pierda un segundo de… hay!, un momento, aun es pronto para revelar lo que va a ver por las pantallas, jeje.

Así que, aquí lo tenéis, el misterio se está revelando despacito, tenemos robots limpiadores, una enorme y malvada criatura, una celda y una sala de fiestas con personas que observan a través de televisores, así que no os vayáis amigos! Porque en el próximo post, descubriremos, QUIEN?! Esta detrás de todo esto, ¿Quién es el hombre que aparece en el centro?.  Nos leemos en el próximo “Cuaderno deRodaje”!

Today in Flashes Before Your Eyes: “Animation Logbook”, I want to show you another environment concept Design, THE LOUNGE.

For this one I wanted a big room, plenty of technology, and some kind of smart place and design, so I thought mix renaissance and technology will make a good cocktail, So I wanted a big lounge with a lot of light, this is why the big windows, and the bove with the hole in the center to give more light, and my favorites part, the “screen trees”. I though it may be a nice touch to make them look like trees, like if the cables where roots and where all connected with the ones of the citadel, and at the same time with the screens, so the people at the party can watch what is going on in the… wait, still to soon to reveal what are they gonna watch in the screen, jeje.

So this is it, the mystery is been solved slowly, we have cleaner robots, we have a huge and evil creature, a cell, and a lounge for parties with people watching, so keep watching true believers! Because next post we are gonna discover WHO?! Is behind all this, we are gonna meet the man standing in the center of the lounge. See you all soon on “Animation Logbook”!

ANIMATION LOGBOOK (08): BUILD ME A CELL

 Mientras estoy dando color a los demás diseños que ya están dibujados, quiero enseñaros los diseños para las celdas y una muestra de fotograma, como ejemplo de cómo van las cosas.
Primero tenemos el proceso de diseño de la celda, otro escenario importante en la historia del corto de animación. Estoy trabajando para que el color luzca lo más profesional posible. Para esta celda, tengo pensado que estén bajo tierra, que parezcan sucias, frías y húmedas, descuidadas, a fin de cuenta, a nadie le importa la calidad de vida de un prisionero. Las quería oscuras, solo contrastadas por un leve rayo de luz que entre por la abertura en el techo, que es lo que veis en este post. La segunda imagen que se ve ampliada es un fotograma del corto, espero que os guste, ya que no quiero que parezca hecho con prisas o cualquier cosa con colores chillones tipo flash, estoy decidió a conseguir algo profesional, a la altura de los mejores, y darlo todo en este proyecto, aunque me lleve todo el año, para terminarlo correctamente.

Próximamente os enseñare los diseños del Lounge,  ¿Qué tiene que ver un Lounge, con robots limpiadores, una criatura y una celda?, tendréis que esperar para descubrirlo en próximos cuadernos de rodaje! Buen fin de semana a tod@s!

Till I finish with the colors for others concepts already designed, I want to show you today the cell design and a photogram sample, to show you how the process is going on.
First you have the linework for the cell design, another important part of the story for the short film. For this one, I thought they should be beneath the ground, and wanted to show a dirty, cold and wet place, careless, by the way, nobody would care about how these prisoners are. I want it to look dark, just with some weak light line thought the roof. The second one is the photogram sample, I really hope you like the finish look, because I don’t want it to look like a bad work, or a flash animation with flashy colors, I want to get something professional, as better as the best ones, and do my best to get it, even if it takes me the whole year to finish it.

Next animation logbook, I will show you the lounge, what have to do a lounge with cleaner robots, with a creature and a cell?, You will have to wait to discover it on next animation logbooks! Have a nice weekend!

YEAP, I AM BACK TO GOATEE... YOU KNOW, BUSINESS REASONS...

ANIMATION LOGBOOK (07): THE BEAUTY OF THE BEAST

¿Qué se obtiene mezclando: Toro!, Cangrejo!, Una Pizca de Velociraptor! Un toque antropomorfo! Algo de higuana! Y muy mala leche!? Obtienes esta criatura! La cual va a jugar un papel muy importante en la historia del nuevo proyecto, que será revelado muy pronto! Aunque a priori pueda parecer más parecido al balrog de “el señor de los anillos”, la verdad es que la idea original, vino del demonio de la película “legend”. Desde que tuve la idea, estaba seguro que quería que la criatura fuese enorme, fuerte y que tuviese partes de toro, como por ejemplo los cuernos, y quería que se moviera a cuatro patas. Quiero que se vea como carga contra sus presas, y que sientan la tierra temblar mientras se acerca! Pero por ahora os dejo solo con los conceptos a lápiz, pero el color lo posteare aquí mismo dentro de nada! Hasta que nos volvamos a leer en otro cuaderno de rodaje!

What do you get mixing: Bull! Crab! a little bit of Raptor!, an anthropomorphic touch! Some bits of lizard! And a very mad character!? You got this creature! Which is gonna play an important role in the new project that will be revealed soon! At first you will find that might be looking as the balrog from “the lord of the rings”, but the first inspiration came from the demon of the “legend” movie, I was sure that I want something big, strong, and with some bull parts, as the horns, and that I want it to move on his fours!, I want him to charge against his prey and make them feel the ground shaking till they see it coming! So for now, the concept pencils for the creature, the colors will be right here coming soon! So till we read again in another animation logbook!
