Que nooo, que este no es Adam Hugues.... por que los de adam hughes parece que les han sacado brillo con aceite, estos no brillan...son muy parecidos, gustan igual, las chicas estan igual de jamonas... pero no es ese, este es TERRY DODSON. Y es que mucha gente confunde a estos dos dibujantes, pero el bueno de Terry ha tenido siempre su estilo particular y su bien lograda carrera dentro del mundo del comic, desde sus inicios en Dc en Harley Queen, pasando por Marvel en su etapa para Spider-man, y por supusto Uncanny X-men, y que curiosamente en ocasiones es entintado e incluso coloreados por su esposa, Rachel Dodson.
Quiero desde aqui hacer un manifiesto y decir a todo el mundo, si, se parece, pero esto no es de Adam Hughes! Como ejemplo esta semana, la imagen que sirvió como promoción a Dark X-men! Disfrutadla!.

And have to say that too much people can not know, when is one dodson or one hughes, but Terry has know how to keep his style and a very good carrer in the comic world, since his origins in DC, in Harley Queen, and his work in Marvel with Spiderman and of course, Uncanny Xmen, and have to say that curiously, sometimes his inks and colours are work of his own wife, Rachel Dodson.

Me gustó esta miniserie desde el primer momento, me enganché, me conmoví por la muerte de Sue Dibny y me sorprendí de cuanto acontecía en esta historia. Identity Crisis, que se publicó en Junio de 2004 con lápices de Rags Morales y Guión de Brad Meltzer, y demostraba, como tiene que ser una historia.
Me gusta en especial lo humano que aparecen todos los personajes, hace una historia humana y muy interesante y demuestra que, a pesar de las apariencias no todo es risas y chapagne en el mundo de los superhéroes y que todos tenemos secretos.
La historia arranca con el asesinato de Sue Dibny, la esposa de Elongated Man (no, plastic man es otro), en su propio apartamento. Este hecho, sacudirá los cimientos del mundo heroico, cuando alguien empiece a asesinar y amenazar a los familiares de los heroes. Una autentica historia policíaca que hace ver lo mejor y lo peor de cada personaje, que brinda momentos realmente espectaculares, como la pelea de Deathstroke contra la liga de la justicia. No quiero decir más por no estropearla, si no lo habéis leído, pero yo creo que es de los pocos comics que me he leído varias veces. Una historia digna de leerse.
I really enjoyed this collection since the very begginning, I was addicted to his story and suffer the death of Sue Dibny, and surprise myself with each part of the story. Identity Crisis, was published in June 2004, with Rag Morales Pencils and written by Brad Meltzer, and believe me, this is how a story should be told. I really like the way of things are showed, so human, so real, and this time , they show us that it is not always laughs and champagne in the superheroes life, and that everyone has secrets.
The story start with the Murder of Sue Dibny, the Elongated Man wife (no, pastic man is other one), in his own apartment. This fact, will shake the superheroes private life, when someone starts to hunt and kill the heroes family. A real police story where we can ejoy the best and the worst of each character psique, and that even have spectacular moments, like when Deathstroke fights seven leaguers. I do not want to spoil more information, because if you have not read it already, you must do it, because I strangly read a comic several times (just the good ones), and this story is really worth to read.
Para mi, el dibujante de lo oscuro, y es que este autor, me pega solo en colecciones que necesiten de su aire oscuro, de ese toque tétrico que dan sus lápices, a veces cargados, inquietantes, pero muy efectivos, por eso creo que sino en Thunderbolts, el mejor sitio para Mike Deodato Jr. era Dark Avengers. Este ultimo trabajo merece gran atención, ya que no es facil, ser el criticado por ser el tercer grupo de vengadores que aparece... ¿o era el cuarto?, aun así yo sigo y seguiré disfrutando de su trabajo, que aunque no preciosistas, si tienen toda una personalidad de estilo.
Como ejemplo, esta semana os dejo con la portada del Dark Avengers nº1, con la alineación de villanos convertidos en los heroes más poderosos de la tierra, como Thunderbolts, pero a lo bestia.
For me, the dark artist, and this is because, this author, just fit, in my opinnion in volumens which needs his dark style, this spooky pencils, sometimes overmusculed or strange, but always works. This is why i really think, that the perfect place for Mike Deodato jr., if not in Thunderbolts,was in the pages of Dark Avengers.
And this is a real risk, because, it is not easy been the artist of the third avengers team... or was the fourth? anyway, I enjoy and will enjoy his art, because if they are not beauty, has lots of personality in his style.
As an example this week, I present the Dark Avengers issues 1, with the so famous image where the heroes are turned into world mightiest heroes, like Thunderbolts but in a heavy way.

En 1999, Marvel Comics nos sorprendió con la vuelta de Alex Ross a la casa de las ideas, y nos regaló, EARTH-X, aunque realmente, el proyecto estaba basado en notas de Alex Ross; ya que el dibujo era de un artista del que ya hablaré próximamente, John Paul Leon y escrito por Jim Krueger, presentando esta distópico futuro del universo marvel, que nos brinda desde el primer momento un mundo turbio, en el que no podemos dejar de adentrarnos. De entrada un misterio, ¿Como, cuando y por que, mutó la población mundial? A través de esta columna vertebral argumental, surgen grandes historias, como la de Thor, que engañado por su hermano Loki, se ve atrapado en la forma humana de una mujer; o la de porque Uatu, el vigilante, ha sido cegado a propósito; o mi favorita, ¿Quien es el nuevo Cráneo Rojo y quien podrá oponerse, al empata mas poderoso de la tierra? Todo un universo de historias, que, si bien, no logro el mismo éxito en sus siguientes dos partes Paradise-X y X-Universe, si merece la pena leer en su primera parte, separada en 13 números, de modo que esta es mi recomendación de la semana. EARTH-X.
The world has changed... I feel it in the water... I feel it in the earth...I smell it in the air... Years later the actual Marvel world, the world has get mad, all the world population has powers now, and the new world powers had take the control in a world in caos. Welcome to EARTH-X.
A world where there are no heroes, where spiderman is a cop and is fat, where there are no X-men, where the Avengers were murdered, Reed Richards is the new Doctor doom, Thor a woman and Red Skull is a stupid kid very persuasive, followed by a legion.
In 1999 Marvel Comic surprise us with the return of Alex Ross to the "house of ideas" and presented us EARTH-X, but in fatc, it was not really an Alex Ross work, it was based on his notes, but the real work came from the pencils of John Paul Leon y escrito por Jim Krueger, who show us a distopic universe. Since the very first moment, they work with the idea of a twisted reality that lead us more and more deep, till we are trapped in it. To start, a mistery, ¿How, Why and When did the entire human population get his powers?. Throught this mistery we enjoy several stories, like Thors, trapped in a body of a woman, because of his trickster halfbrother Loki, or Uatu, and Why would someone want a blind watcher ? and my fauvorite, Who is the new Red Skull and Who is gonna stand againts the world most powerful empath? A whole universe full of good stories and mistery, and even when the two other parts had not the same effect (Paradise-X and X-Universe), is very worth to read on his first part, in 13 issues, so that is my weekend recomendation, EARTH-X.
